In Reading Groups, your child will be using the "CAFE" menu to learn about various reading skills. These skills and language can be referred to at home for reinforcement. The skills are being taught one by one, over time, so that by January or February the children are familiar with most/all of the strategies.
In Math we have been using dominoes to reinforce practice of our addition and subtraction facts. The visual helps to commit the fact to memory. Most children have moved away from individually counting dots and can recognize the pattern of dots and the number that corresponds.
