Weekly Highlights: Dec. 18 - 22nd

This week in our Life Cycles unit we learned about our own intellectual growth.  We sampled various foods and took a look at a diagram of the brain to see how people use their senses to find out about their surroundings.  Each color coded portion of the brain on the diagram shows what that part of the brain is known to do.

Huge thanks to Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Dorfman and Mrs. Carpenter for putting on a amazing party, and to all the parents who came to join in and sent in supplies. The students had a great time!  Thank you again for all your generous and thoughtful gifts.

Wishing you all a wonderful break, Happy Holidays & a Happy New Year!

Weekly Highlights: December 11 - 15th

This week we were very fortunate to have TWO parent presentations! Mrs. Dorfman came in to teach the class all about Hanukkah, including a brief history, teaching us about the menorah and driedel game. We also got to sample some delicious latkes & apple sauce.  On Wednesday, Dr. Kasotakis came in to teach us all about his work as a radiologist, as well as the other areas of medicine found within the hospital. The students had fun pretending to be doctors and identifying broken and fractured bones.

On Friday the students had a great time setting up and running the Coffee & Cocoa stand to raise money for Alpha House.  Thank you all for your support!!
