Geologists in the Making

In science with Mrs. Brennan, the students learned about three types of rocks (sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic).  They used magnifying glasses to observe examples of each rock.  The students also read "clue sheets" together to help think about what we should look for when identifying rocks.  After the students explored the three types, they created a brain frame to record properties of each.

We'll continue to think about sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks over the next few weeks.  We'll think about how they're formed, names of specific rocks, and how they're the same/different from each other.
