Highlights: February 20th - March 2nd

This week in Math we have continued our work with double digit addition.  I have had a few parent conversations recently about the shift in skills children are expected to have during the second half of the year. I have attached a few photos of different strategies the students have learned this year, which may help at home when tackling more challenging math problems. We have also been learning about temperature change, and had some fun exploring with this interactive thermometer: https://www.mathsisfun.com/measure/thermometer.html

We have continued our exploration of Life Cycles by learning about fruits, seeds, flowers and the uses for plants. Children have been working in partnerships to do research on these topics.

Other recent highlights included a visit from Arianna's pet hamster, Pebbles, and a performance by local storyteller LaRon Williams.

We are sorry to have to say goodbye to Louisa, whose last day at Angell was Friday.
We will miss Louisa and wish her all the best!
